In Progress [Broadway] You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

on Sat Dec 16, 2017 2:50 pm
This show is near and dear to my heart. Smile It celebrated its 50th birthday this year. Well, 52nd if you count the 1965 concept album (starring Orson Bean as Charlie Brown and composer-lyricist Clark Gesner as Linus).

This is one of those shows that did not do good when it was first on Broadway.  It open and closed in the same year (1971).

I know. At least there was a 1999 revival. Smile Starring Stanley Wayne Mathis (original Banzai in The Lion King on Broadway) as Schroeder, B.D. Wong as Linus, and Kristin Chenoweth as Sally... Very Happy

Did you know Zac Efron was in an amateur production of YAGMCB? He was Snoopy.

Coincidentally, the boy who played Snoopy to my Lucy was also named Zachary!
